Our starting point will be to gain a high-level overview of your financial world. This comes from working on our intake form, your tax returns, your investment statements and our fact-finding interview(s).
We then assemble that into our proprietary wealth presentation for your review. This will show you where you are at that time.
Then, and this is the most important part, we work you to understand your pain points and other issues and develop a plan to move you into a much better place.
There are three main parts to the process:
First part: Financial Therapy is where we work with you to address your financial issues. Your first call will be with our intake specialist, Sheryl Hartfield. She will get an understanding of what your particular financial issues are and tailor an intake questionnaire to maximize your session(s) with Stephen.
Once you have completed your questionnaire, you will have a Zoom or Teams call with Stephen.
Second part: Once we have addressed your primary financial concern(s), then it’s time to put into action an individually designed plan which is intended to prevent the need for additional financial therapy.
Third and final part: Accountability is key for any plan to work. When you were in school, if there had been no tests, would you have studied the material anyway? So, accountability is where we do periodic follow-ups to see how you are doing. You’ve already done the hard work, now you just need to update your financial worksheets and let us rate your progress.
Yes! Our goal is to get you the relief you need from financial stress. We can work together with your therapist, or your therapist can instruct us on what issues are the most important and help us prioritize your financial therapy. The same is true for working with your CPA and/or financial advisor.
We are a fee-based service and, therefore, charge by the hour.
